  30. Due to an accident of birth this young woman is wealthy in a way that I never have been and never will be (no matter how many bitcoins I own). Attractive women have a tremendous advantage in the realm of social media. It's no one's fault but the situation exists so there's no point in pretending that it doesn't. A guy like me trying to compete with her in this field would be pointless. It would be much like this young woman trying to compete with me in my career as a heavy diesel truck mechanic (engine guy). Every once in a while a young woman does show up at our shop and she gets hired on the spot due to the state pressuring management to hire more women and minority mechanics. These young women tend to last about a year. They tend to be about as fast as the slowest of the gray beards who are about to retire. They lack the strength, intensity and focus necessary to really produce well. And eventually they push themselves too hard and get hurt (usually back or shoulder injuries). After a few trips to the hospital they either take a big pay cut and move into management or they leave and go do something else. Due to an accident of birth on their part I've never met a woman who could hold a candle to a powerful, dynamic, highly trained and highly talented mechanic such as myself. When they try to compete the results are laughable and completely pathetic. That's why they rarely even attempt to enter my career. Some women look at me and my success and call it white male privilege. In a way I suppose they're right, but the privilege that exists exists within the combination of my strength and my natural born mechanical talent (plus the skills I've built upon that foundation), rather than some kind of cultural advantage. LOL, in fact at my current job I had a -15% penalty in the application and entrance exam to land this job. With my skills and abilities I powered through their white male penalty with ease, but that doesn't make that penalty anything less than a racist and sexist attack that's pointed right at me and anyone who looks like me. So basically I have no problem with this young woman having such a tremendous advantage over me here in social media. That advantage is rather short lived due to a woman's very limited shelf life. I've enjoyed a tremendous advantage in my own career since 1993 and I'm still going strong, that's 25 years. So while my advantage may not be as dramatic as hers, it lasts a heck of a lot longer. Slow and steady wins the race.
