16:00 I know a big issue with meat (and dairy) is farm subsidies. More people are cutting out those two things for either ethical or environmental reasons, but the supply isn't adjusting accordingly, because any meat or dairy that isn't sold to consumers can essentially just be sold to the government for a set price. Not only is this a waste of resources, but it's terrible for the climate, water quality, and forests (because of land clearing).

On what to do to reduce food waste – Keep chickens at home. Much of my spoiled food becomes feed stock for the hens that give me fresh eggs, so the food is not really wasted, but recycled. Moldy cheese is like a gourmet treat to a chicken! Backyard composting your kitchen scraps for use in a home garden is another way to recycle your old food.
