Is Lightning a blockchain with a UTXO model? How can I participate in the Lightning Network? Should I run a full node? What was the Lightning Torch? Is there a dust limit in Lightning?

NOTE: Since this video was recorded, there have been updates regarding Neutrino light clients. More here: https://blog.lightning.engineering/announcement/2019/04/23/mainnet-app.html

Also, when choosing a wallet, make sure to check whether it is custodial or non-custodial. Not your keys, not your bitcoin!

  1. Privacy today faces growing threats from unsolicited surveillance and malicious attacks in the cyber space. And with the rise of malware affecting users and posing more risk daily, computer security and personal vigilance has become more important than ever before. It's best you reach out to blackrock consult pro and hire an expert for top firewall security, database/fund recovery (if you have been hacked or scammed) and stealth investigation services for individuals and institutions based on preferences and requests.

  2. Mr. Antonopolous, thank you so VERY MUCH for all that you do and have done to educated so many of us…you are the BEST teacher out there and we all really appreciate it. I would be honored if you'd answer this question on a youtube video — You said at one point that you transact in BTC as part of your regular mode of operation. I think many of us would love to do that same thing in our lives, but we don't see how; when we go to the store for our food, we can't yet buy with BTC. We can't pay our bills with BTC. Not yet, anyhow…. How do you recommend we integrate BTC transactions as part of our day-to-day lives? I know there are a few places to buy goods with it…but if I could even transact 25% in BTC, that would be great. So far….all I've bought is pizza….and it was good pizza!! /// Take care of yourself, brother! Thanks again for your great work!

  3. @aantonop – Thanks very much for what you do for the crypto community. I wish I had heard of you back in early 2017 or before to get into crypto earlier. One question about BTC for the next Q&A please: "If the very first block (Block 0) is unspendable, does it mean that the BTC transactions that are sent to the Genesis wallet are spendable ? If yes, then Craig Wright could just sign a transaction to prove he's really Satoshi". Thanks I hope you'll answer it.

  4. When is it decided that lightning transactions should be checked against the bitcoin network? When a channel/account is closed? Doesn't that put lightning exchanged amounts at potential risk? Mini or Mili satoshis sounds great due to opening up microtransactions but how is it decided how and when to round them up,m is this done between two accounts leaving someone at a loss or in a more smart way?
