I love the argument that at least this somewhat proves that iFinex/Bitfinex/USDT actually had USD reserves. What kind of sick thinking is that? It is SUPPOSED to be back by dollars. I realize there was a lot of FUD around USDT and this helps somewhat clarify one question. Does USDT have USD reserves? Clearly it does, but it doesn't clarify if it has reserves of 1:1.

This whole situation with iFinex reminds me of the MF Global meltdown in 2011 ow.ly/eZnn50slfpb. MF Global clients got lucky and were made whole. Not sure how this is going to play out, but the crypto markets did handle the news quite well. Impressed how the crypto markets are starting to actually shrug FUD off.
