Person C has no business being involved in that transaction. So get that straight please. Most people (including you) somehow seem to see the government as benign and possibly 'friendly' in certain circumstances, when in point of fact, that is a scientific imposibility. Define government for us. Technically people are right when they say Bitcoin can't be destroyed. But still, the products and services that Ms Demirors mentions are not decentralized and can be controlled. If people can't buy or sell bitcoin anymore and can't buy and sell goods and services with it anymore, then de facto it would still be the death of bitcoin.

You can be sure that people high up in the government are personally invested in Bitcoin, they couldn't give two shits if the U.S Dollar tanks.

I just care about increasing my net worth using crypto’s in whatever coin gives me the most profits. Anything else is noise in the background as bitcoin can most definitely be pushed into obscurity by regulations but as long as it’s making me money, it’s all good. Ripple is killing it on world stage of finance and I bet XRP will finally (my god finally please) have its run.
By technology must be weighted using pros and cons and currently I see some mayor drawbacks in bitcoin:
– environmental issues
– whale movements
– centralized around developers and stakeholders determining what to code next (but nobody talks about that)
– after 10 years it still doesn’t scale which makes the developers look bad from a professional point of view
– lighting network still 18 months away and from what I understand about it still doesn’t work in a fool-proof manner
– insane amount of locked up bitcoin that could become Craig’s coins in the near future
– after 10 years not even useable for grandmother to buy bread
– developers run the show instead of focusing on real world use cases that money is designed for
Facebook addresses all of these issues and will focus on user friendly UI and scaling which they will succeed of course faster than bitcoin developers can fix these issues and that is what scares politicians. Bitcoin isn’t a threat because it does work on such a scale that it’s useable. Imagine if your government ordered a new payment system and funded it with your taxes and after 10 years there still isn’t any working product… how would you respond?
I like bitcoin as a speculative investment now and potentially, somewhere over the rainbow, it becomes a working product faster than another one takes its share is what’s giving it value. You have to realize that from a business perspective, bitcoin is failing miserably. Facebook will focus on business first using technology and will succeed I think if they are allowed to.

okay, so $100,000/BTC by Dec 2020, that means my $3000 USD investment would be worth roughly $28,000 between now and 17 months? I don't buy that….there's a guy on YouTube that showed how a single $500 investment could make a person $100,000 within 5 months…I personally think that $100,000/BTC will happen well before Dec 2020. I'm thinking a $3000 USD investment between now and Dec 2020, would be worth alot more than 28K

You may want to check the IGA claim of 1400 stores accepting bitcoin, pretty sure this was just 1 single store in Queensland trialing Travelbit's crypto payment hardware/software in Queensland not the whole network. Check out Nuggets New's as he reported on this about a week ago. Keep up the good fight!
