I love coinmarketcap but for some reason they are not always up to date.

Depending on what country you're in you dont want to use certain exchanges. Good advice but once you find a coin you want to purchase Its best to look up reviews on the exchange its listed on.

This is fine but you need to have accounts in all those sites which is these days really a irritating task cuz you have to verify your account by submitting all those stuff like taking a selfie with holding your ID and a paper in which the site name and date is written and it will take weeks to be verified

it is indeed the easiest way to find out on to what exchange your prospected coin is.
but mostly overlooked by everyone – including me 😀 sometimes

Where to buy alts is easy as you say….the more difficult question is where to store them after you buy them. Leaving them on the exchange is not a good idea. In your example of Monero…where would you store it?
