I want REN to blast so we can finally see some of the mainstream crypto shillers begin to talk about it, in a serious way. It has a lot of potential because unlike many projects it isn't focused on marketing. If/When it hits top 50 coins and people like Datadash start to notice / read GitHub and whitepaper I'm hoping that it builds support and outperforms many of the coins up in the top 100 that frankly still have very little real world (proven) utility

See I disagree. In a recession what will get smoked first? Risky assets? It will be interesting to to see if a relatively new untested asset, that moves $1500 in a day, highly manipulated by a few big wallets and still finding its feet becomes a safe haven. I strongly doubt it.

Inflation is created by central banks creating money out of thin air, Bitcoins with its limited supply was a very good idea to stop inflation, if it had remain the only alternate currency, the problem is the number of cryptocurrencies is unlimited completely defeating the inflation cap.

Was interested to watch this as I was thinking you were really going to get into negative yielding debt and impacts this may have on the crypto markets. This was the most surface level/non-deep dive on negative yielding debt and the issues with that. Bummer. Great idea for a different type of video but I think it was a swing and a miss since it was so basic/surface level and covered barely anything…that said still like the channel and I appreciate how you always stay more level headed and don’t do the $10M BTC in 2020! Type clickbait garbage that others do. Would love to see a much deeper dive on this negative yielding debt topic…cheers

There is some reasoning for negative yielding bonds. If Nick would issue such, I would risk loossing buy back of bonds if Nick would go missing. In case of the bank, I'm taking risk of bank bankruptcy. In case of government issued bonds there is very little risk of not getting money back as they just print more money for buy back. If country would eventually go bankrupt it would not matter to me anyways as currency in question would go bust too. So the stronger the country the more negative bonds it can issue, as there are ones who rather payup for guarantee to not loose more than certain percent instead of risk loosing more in other areas. It's like a paid hedge for those funds that can not take any risks

BTW, equating personal debt to federal debt (sovereign FIAT) is asinine… You know better than that.. Understood that it's incredibly complex, but holding large debt as a sovereign nation is expected and smart when productivity is strong.

The US is so incredibly stupid regarding how they handle debt. Debt with FIAT is expected and normal and in reality the debt could be wiped based on the productivity of the US. Read more about MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) to understand.
