  1. I disagree. Tron is not mostly bots…there is a strong, even cult-like community, within Tron…not that that takes away from the 'centralized' aspects that are happening..

  2. Steem is not and has never been a blockchain. It is a distributed database. aka a quorum database. We've had those for decades. Not special.

Steem (and EOS for that matter) is a clear-as-day case of taking advantage of the technologically less-informed.

  3. Second time CZ has been involved in potentially crazy consensus-altering actions. First time he talked about rolling back Bitcoin transactions, then balked. Now he actually was party to something like this, and is talking about reversing the decision. Two warnings. Don't wait for a third.

  4. Thanks for the input. If not for The Splinterlands/Steemmonsters I would've been gone a long time ago. Seeing that whole thing for what it is now is very comical and ironic these people getting back in their face exactly what they did a few days ago. These people have run the place like they were entitled and ignored the hordes of people that have left (apparently like yourself) but they have maintained their control over what was once a brilliant idea but now has little to no chance for growth until it opens up and is decentralized like it was intended but never was allowed to. Moral of the story, computer programmers are about as knowledgeable in running an economic platform as a rock band drummer.

  5. So the guys who had the deal with the community to not use the coins for anything but improving the steemit ecosystem Sells the coins for personal profit? Justin sun buys coins (legitly) which he did not have a "deal" with community. community then freeze his funds which were sold to him now they are crying because he did what he had to do to get his coins back? imo the only person that fu%&^d up here is the guy who sold the coins that he said he wasnt going to sell? hmmmm something to think about.

  6. Good thing I powered down all my STEEM months ago and exchanged it to fill my bags elsewhere. Sad that platform has turned to such politics.

  7. This is a huge issue and should be a huge concern for 99% of all blockchains… Justin also were connected too the exchanges voting and paid them off like binance and huobli smh smh

  8. The code to prevent the ability of of Steemit Inc was wrote in by agreement at the time the agreement was made and implemented when needed.

  9. Thanks for the video. It is an eye-opener for what is happening at Steemit. I just looked at Steemit witnesses. The very top witnesses have changed from the past year. Also 8 of the top 100 witnesses have disabled (discontinued) in the past 12 hours. Big change as you were saying. Not sure with whom to place my witness votes.
Another problem – to divest Steem is difficult as people usually keep their steem in steem power which gives the right to vote on content one likes. Sounds great but it takes 26 weeks to fully power down from steem power. Only a small percentage is allowed to be withdrawn each week.

  10. Top 20 witnesses are a central authority at well. So essentially steem is just being taken over by a new central authority. The last one sucked and steem failed so I can't see the harm in the new central authority trying to grow steem. It cant get much worse.

  11. Why pick on DPOS? Any premined coin is subject to this type of manipulation. I would agree that 20 core validators is too small, but larger numbers I think can be fine when there is no premining or other special rigging.

  12. All i can say. we just have to wait and see what happens with Justin and on Steemit. Maybe nothing. Maybe many things, maybe little things, just have to wait and see. Regardless it is out of our control. Best to take a seat and watch. Thanks for shariing.
