Do you live outside of the US? Do you still follow Rule #1 principles of investing?
I follow your channel from Portugal
I work in accounting, and use to for a large public company. I promise, there is two sets of books.
IXUS. Good enough for me.
phil i live in singapore and my local market is kinda small i dont know what to really choose i have looked at vanguard growth mutual fund and i wonder should i get that
i live in the uk , rule 1 works here, i m not sure the usa is a more stable democracy than the uk
I am Mexican and I'm going to invest in both American and Mexican companies, being from Monterrey I am very familiar with all the American brands and companies because it is a very Americanised here but also there a lot of strong Mexican companies like CEMEX that are interesting for long term #1 investing because they are very successful and it's a local but massive corporation that we are all familiar with in Monterrey
Hi Phil! I live in the UK but I'd love to invest elsewhere as well. I'm really worried about currency fluctuations ruining my profits. Can you please make a video about handling this issue?
Thanks Phil. I live in Australia ?? and the Rule 1 principles definitely apply. I think there may be extra taxes and fees? if I invest in the US but I need to work this out. Cheers ?
In Australia. Could you please give us some tips?
Hey Phil. Love your videos and your information especially podcast. I am trying to learn through the podcast. I have to go through it a couple of times to fully get things down. I am still wondering when are you coming to do your workshop in the UK? I am from Manchester in the UK. I really hope you can come over so I can attend!!! I really want to learn and start investing.
Brasilia
if i invest in the US do i have to pay US taxes?
Hello Mr. Phill, everything you say I learn a lot from it, however my only question to you is if everything that i invest is in the long term investment, how will I get returns any returns in the "NOW" zone of life, for more investment?? As after practicing your rules will certainly get me a lot of money in the future maybe 10-20 years from now. But what to do now? As m waiting for returns in the future, without much money or returns coming in the "NOW ZONE" of life for more investments to buy more stocks when price goes down, as I am tied up in the past long term investments ?? If you can make a video on this topic, it will help a lot to young and new investors like me. Thanks
I live in France Phil, and the french market is too slow, it’s been stuck since 2008, besides great groups like LVMH which I recommend you take a look at. I like to invest in the US stock market because of the trend and the oportunities, and of course, the wide panel of companies that you can choose from. Let’s face it, America is capitalism at its best !
I follow your channel Phil.. From the philippines
Does anybody know what is the "Future PE" that Phil uses in the calculation of the Sticker price?
Also, does Rule #1 Investing apply only to companies that pay out dividends? What if a company looks good but doesn't pay out dividends? Without dividends, you cannot calculate Earnings Per Share.
Uncle phil. Why do investors buy stocks of berkshire if berkshire doesn't pay dividend? Kevin o'leary said to not own a stock who doesn't give dividends, im confused.
I just found this channel, why do i love it already?
Love you videos Phil but there a few outlandish statements in this one. Argentina a third world country? The US has the most stable democracy?
Most stable democracy…. isnt that new zealand??
What is your age Mr.Phil Town ?
Camera is too close. I'm from London, UK and although UK market is important – I'm more familiar with US markets etc.
thanks !
Something I don't understand on rule 1 book, can you help me understand ?
I live outside USA, unfortunately the government here help business men to reduce their loss by making new investment products in the wrong time. e.g. they recently allowed REIT products just before the bear market of the real estate. so if you bought a share of 10$ lets say, it will drop to 7$ within 2 months.
SEC are to be trusted? What about Madoff and Enron?
Turkey should have opportunities… ? Cool, Mr Phil
This channel lead me to your podcast! I’m learning so much and am actually excited to research companies and invest! Thank you!
In What US Shares better to invest for long 5-10 Shares? In Europe I found only 1 interesting Share to invest for long…
Im working on swedish stock market, buying good quality international companies when they are on sale. Just like you tought me 🙂 I am a beginner, been in a market for soon a year and I must say its going well! Reading reports helps alot, but it takes so much time! In the future i will start reading about small companies and invest there too. Have just one now, and its +25% in half a year. Why didnt I bought more I wonder… 😀
I'm a student from South Africa completing my studies soon and really interested in investing soon. This channel is really helping me to get to grips with the idea of investing
Big thanks from Dublin! (I am Hungarian) 🙂
