7. Regulations will not help Bitcoin in anyway. Even exchanges like BItmex it is up to the consumer to find trustworthy companies.

9. F their regulation. Their feeble, desperate attempt to maintain control. Store your crypto in BIP38 encrypted paper wallets. Get it off of the centralized exchanges.

10. The U.S. government will shut down all cryptos if they need to. They can not get their hands on crypto dollars for tax purposes and that is why they WILL kill all cryptos.

11. "Resistance is futile". More regulations simply won't work. Crypto is peer to peer. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with the pace of technical movement for Atomic swaps and DEXs but they are coming. If anything such regulation could drive Bitcoiners to consider adding privacy to Bitcoin like Litecoin is doing with MW and extension blocks. The regulations could try to cripple fiat on ramps but even that would be difficult considering the popularity of Bitcoin.

12. Those regulations are meant to be used as an excuse to rob average citizens. Civil forfeiture is an example of those abuses. Check it out and protect yourselves before you become their next target/victim.

But can they get every country? I doubt it. It would take complete globalization, world would have to all obey by the same financial rules/government.

21. Around September 2017 when bitcoin had just jumped to new highs in $5k range, China announced they would ban ICOs or actually did. it sent BTC price down. to $3k. Then it went sideways until late October/early November. Then, KABOOM! So, maybe something similar will happen here with US talks of supposed soon to arrive crypto regulations.

    Either way, I’m waiting for the next rally. Kaboom!

24. Here's a (pretty obvious) tip I got from an experienced trader to prevent you ever becoming the victim of a flash crash. ALWAYS place limit (as opposed to market) orders. If you want your order to be filled quickly, just put it at or close to the bid or ask depending on whether you are selling or buying.

25. In my opinion that particular ‘crushing’ IOSCO regulatory recommendation is a very good thing as if implemented it might so badly crush exchanges that they would have to close down ….. yippee !!! Then we cryptos would have to become 100% peertopeer just like Satoshi envisioned. Yeah !!
