Kiva.org is using Hyperledger Indy. Indy ledger includes only hashes of data and decentralised identifiers (check out W3C DID specification) therefore it doesn’t reveal any personal information concerning the identity holder.

Garbage in, garbage out is one of my favorite sayings. You can't build truth from lies. It's great to have these opportunities available to those who would otherwise have no means of identification. As it is equally consequential to everyone if that system is operated by bad actors or even worse. Careless individuals that arn't fit to manage that database in the first place. Glad you feel the same way in that you give without any intention of recieving Andreas.
