My response to Jamie Dimon’s criticism of Bitcoin as a “fraud.” Jamie doth protest too much methinks, because JPMorgan Chase was fined for mortgage fraud.

The world’s banks have never faced competition from the internet; the internet is now coming for banking. Industry leaders are going through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

This talk took place at the SingularityU Canada Summit during October 11-12th 2017 at Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto, Canada: https://antonopoulos.com/event/singularityu-canada-summit-toronto-canada/

  1. While there was autocracy, kings controlled their army and kingdom's currency. It changed to so-called "democracy" or "republic" that gave power to people to choose their king. This change took place with a lot of blood bath and gunfight. Blockchain is truly democratic which dilutes the power of institutions corporations and governments. So we can all expect a lot of resistance from the privileged. And with the weapons and arms government possess, the death toll will be much more.

  2. Ha! I had a chat with my local bank manager recently because I was borrowing some money to invest in cryptos. He had heard of bitcoin but didn't know anything more than that. I emailed him the URL for one of Andreas' videos and explained to him that he will most likely lose his job as a bank manager, but may well begin a whole new career as a financial adviser to people, helping them budget and save but also to pose questions such as "What is most important to you? What are your principles? Where do you want to spend your money?" There's new hope for bankers 😉
