I don't think I'd ever liquidate all of my BTC. The higher the price goes the more it validates the need. Sure I'd sell some of my position to derisk but never all of it

The problem with governments trying to buy out HODLers is they would hyperinflate their currency and it would become worthless. I could see central banks creating a massive amount of fiat to buy crypto from the weak HODLers and then when they have enough throw fiat under the bus and still own a vast majority of value in the monetary system.
