I'm from Cuba. You don't have idea what you are talking about. Don't compare Cuba and Venezuela, it is not the same at all. Cuba and its people don't have the internet that is required in order to have access to crypto. Cuba and its people don't have hardware (computer, cell phones, etc.) to run crypto. Decentralize cryptocurrency is liberty / freedom. The government never will let people have that, and shoot-down don't the internet or the electric power in the whole island, is easier than what you can imaging.

Bitcoin cannot be shutdown! However, government can make buying and selling Bitcoin such a pain that they destroy the market. All they have to do is make it illegal for financial institutions (i.e. banks) to buy and sell Bitcoin or conduct business with any exchange that buys and sells bitcoin. The U.S. did it to the online poker industry a decade ago and crippled the industry.
