  8. I'll take it, BUT this isn't as good as what was proposed 2 years ago. Back then 2 congressmen were proposing an exemption of $600 per transaction amount. That was way better because you could tell right from the transaction amount whether or not it was excludable, regardless of gain/loss math. Also, that $600 amount was logically consistent with 1099 reporting, so it would be easy to justify and remember, and would be inflation adjusted when those amounts are.

    EDIT: I am also going to point out (what you people in BTC are missing and ignoring) is that you are now creating HYPE based on something which has not even happened, this is such an easy way you get you all hyped up, then later on.. baaaam… none of it comes true.   24. Wow, so I can potentially burn through tax liability one transaction at a time and then replace spent funds! Bet the total purchases in a year gets capped. A little too good to be true. Crossing fingers this gets passed. I could see a lot of churn on the blockchain simply for smart tax planning.
