On today’s episode of Your Simplified Coin Review, we take a look at EOS. EOSIO is a revolutionary platform that seeks to solve the age old problem of blockchain scalability. The project is led by the company Block.One. The Chief Technology Officer of One.Block is Dan Larimer. He is well known in blockchain & crypto circles for his work with Steemit. He has a brilliant mind, but many worry he could jump ship on the project at some point. Big upside for EOS that separates it from many of the other smart contract platforms is the Venture Capital portion of it. A big chunk of the crowdsale is getting stored in the Cayman Islands registered VC fund. This is getting parsed out to other projects building on the EOS platform and those projects directly airdrop their coins (or some percentage of their coins) to EOS holders instead of doing their own ICO.
EOS coins = EOS + the projects funded by their VC fund.
re: Larimer, I've heard him speak about EOS being the platform he'll use to build his next projects on. His strong suit seems to be the creation and initial development rather than leadership after a project's launch. Steem and Bitshares are doing just fine after he left.
