China's gold back crypto is only worth as much as you trust the Chinese and the gold they posses. I don't like stable coins in general, there value is based on Fiat or commodities not on there own Merritt's.

Sounds like selling of more dreams for bitcoinists, who supposedly will be able to exchange Bitcoin to millions of dollars. What benefit would China get from destroying dollar and euro along with it? It would loose all buyers from US and EU because of diminished buying power for some time.

Surprises me how many people are chirping eth, it's the largest development community in smart contracts right now, switching to pos is amazing! Also keep in mind vitalik has also kept a long term goal in mind, he was COMPLAINING during the 2017 bull market because we have not achieved any of the bigger vision. He never fuds, always is thinking longterm, has the biggest developer pool, is most decentralized of smart contract platforms, and now is moving towards pos… I'm so exited for the next 5 years of eth!

Re Chinese cryptocoin backed by gold, I suppose a base conversion, such as one grain of gold equals one "crypto Yuan." (Or perhaps one-tenth of a grain.) Assuming that Max K isn't a front for a whale(s), his prophecy probably relates to intergovernment financial dealings. That is, the Chinese government sees the possibility of making its new cryptocoin the new reserve coin of the world. The leadership of the West has had smart people running its money operations since Bretton Woods (monetized debt, fractional banking & derivatives) but they seem to have lost control of it – like the Sorcery's Apprentice. Another model for the system is inevitable. (Don't be surprised if the U.S. leaders have a Manhattan Project related to cryptos; they won't give up power and control without a fight. Whatever model they develop will be basically for them to retain power. It will never be for the people. Substitute "party leadership" for China, and you will probably be close.) Nice people anywhere in the world will, as is usual, not "be winners."
