Hey can I ask you question? I've been watching this company which COO was arrested for bribery. He did that to smooth the land use permission process. The government officials were also arrested. The thing is, the stock is severely undervalued with ROE>30 PBV<0.3. So even after that scandal the company's performance is still the same. What do you think?

Unfortunately, I cannot watch the video, as it is not subtitled (I am deaf). I will look at the book link up there.
This video made me think of Sears.

How exactly are lay investors supposed to confirm what steak high level executives have in firm? 10K's/Q's?
If only the SEC weren't actively working against us in that regard
Yes sir, Pincon Spirit (India) (2018) appeared to be an up and coming liquor business, but was just a shell company for a corrupt owner.
Great points! I also like to look at how they have been estimating their sales/profits/expansions in the past. Did they succeed in making these visions a reality? If not, I think it's a sign of bad judgement, and a red flag for me.
Thank you so much for giving reality examples… well explained topics.. More power to you… 🙂
If you hire somebody without integrity, you really want them to be dumb and lazy.” – Warren Buffett.
Very important that we have the right management team in place!
I'm still learning abt stocks tho. thanks so much Phil town:))))
Yeah don't invest in B of A or wells Fargo, chase bank
Ever hear about American Realty Capital Properties (ARCP)? A bit of an accounting scandal caused a management shake-up and the company to be renamed VEREIT (VER). The good news is that I took a loss on ARCP and invested the money in Visa (V). I made up the loss in about 2 weeks and it has been all uphill since then.
Hey Phil, books recommended by you are really helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing Phil, great video.
I used these methods to short ZINC Horsehead Holdings a few years ago before they went to 0.00
How on earth are we supposed to decipher if an Executive has their own skin the game ? Is that something a prospectus or financial statements would disclose? Unlikely
Yes, a ceo of a China Company steals the money of the shareholders. Since then I don‘t like chinese „value stocks“?
