5:31 It's Yiddish. The language looks and sounds similar to German and uses German words but last names follow a certain tradition (long story) of being very literal and poetic at the same time. So e.g. "Zuckerberg" = "sugar mountain", "Rotschild" = "red shield", "Rosenzweig" = "rose branch", etc. Some of this got introduced in the 18th century when Germans were ruling a part of Poland and (being Germans) decided to introduce a proper census. This involved giving the Jews who lived there "proper names" (since Polish authorities at the time allowed the Jews to administer their own census). One of the German bureaucrats tasked with inventing those new names after he moved to Warsaw was none other than the famous writer and composer E. T. A. Hoffmann. Perhaps in those Yiddish names today we are seeing some of his wit 🙂
Zuckerberg is an old German name which means " robotlookingcunt"

The potential for bitcoin popular use is an underrated mainstream idea. The sudden change could spark a massive trend. It would be like starting a fire, in the middle of a field of dead grass.

after the next halving, BTC daily emission will be down to about 20% of it's Genesis to present average — and Monero daily emission will be below 11% of it's Genesis to present daily average.
This means that with the exact same market behavior (something we can't count on or predict) Monero will be almost twice as well poised to make gains against Bitcoin as it has been historically.
Look at Monero's emission curve and look at where we are on it right now.
That coupled with the very low current XMRBTC rate makes me think Monero is a very safe bet (as far as alts go) in next few years. I'm sticking with BTC and XMR only, and I suspect XMR will outperform BTC over next 4 years, but BTC is obviously safer than any alt (including XMR)
how did you get de darker theme on messari?
