Dividends are a distribution of a company’s earnings to its shareholders, decided by the board of directors; in other words, money that the company you’re invested in pays out to you directly in cash. But do you really want investments that offer dividends, or are there better options out there? https://bit.ly/2w7swdg

  1. Is it worth using dividend payments to buy new shares in the company? To me this seems to be a good way to further increase ownership in the company without having to resort to savings etc.

  2. Great great video.. Appreciate you for teaching us how dividends work. Starbucks stocks are 40% less right now,due to the corona virus.do you think it's a great buy? And yes. They do pay dividends as well. Thanks

  3. Dividends are fine but I'd rather have grown. For example if you have AAPL the growth is where the money is but if there are dividends too that's fine, I don't figure it into my ROI. One thing I like to do, as I don't need the dividends presently, is to automatically reinvest in the company.

  4. Great video, thanks. Dividends are tricky these days. Although some companies are posting record dividend percentage due to lower stock price, many are going to cut dividends all together for the next couple of quarters and most likely, even longer.

  5. Hi Phil thanks for all the great advice. I am about to start investing with just a few hundred pounds per month into some good businesses from next week. Do you think I should wait a few more months or just start off now.

  6. I'm not 100% fluent in English or knowledgeable in the stock market..I want to invest in gold but don't know where to start to secure my future and acquisition of wealth..I have a 2years left car payments and student loan to pay…thankfully I had a tfsa and I'm still lucky to be working and having money coming in…what should I do Phil ???

  7. I love how you pointed out that companies often make bad decisions when it comes to stock buybacks. Stock buybacks during all-time highs is usually a greedy decision made by executives to boost the stock price before they sell their shares.

  8. Mr.Town’s, u scared me for second, haven’t seen your notifications bell lately but I’m glad you’re ok during this unprecedented time and I hope everyone is well

  9. There are many companies that will cut, but in the long run, they will keep coming in. With companies who don't pay them, you have nothing to spend or invest up until you cash out, and then you have to start over again. I started a series here and went for div. growth. Really exciting to see growth so soon!

  10. Phil, I just want to THANK YOU for the level of confidence and peace of mind I feel during this turbulent time. I’ve been following your content for a few years and even attended a workshop. With all of that being said, I’m grateful to consider myself a Ruler and am trying to take full advantage of this gold storm. I’ve got my bucket! Let’s go play
