Look, i get Apollo but if Libra is going to be denied in being a currency than XRP might as well be the US dollar based on banking adoption that require transparency and BNB the world trading Crypto paired with all regulated currencies linked to BTC/Gold. No security coin can be any nations official currency but there is a use case for security coins. For speculation I'd get Cardano and Elrond that covers the survey's basis

Hi, I came here to understand more about Apollo Currency, and I have to say that I am not completely convinced yet (even after watching the video of Journey to 100K) for several reasons. Note that this does not aim at spreading FUD, but are actual and legit questions which came to my mind as I was viewing your video. I'd be really interested to know your answers.

1/ First of all, this project seems absolutely massive in its ambition. In itself, that may be a good thing, but those affirmations seems somethings "over the top" and require extended teamwork that even the largests teams working on top 20 crypto projects cannot achieve. I do not say that it is impossible (as it is generally easier to do something innovative "from scratch"), but that does however raises suspiscion.

2/ To achieve these ambitions and the roadmap would require extended amounts of both cash, time and influence. I dit not find financial informations in the whitepaper (or have missed it). If you add that the resistance to change being one major drawback for many projects (especially in crypto sphere), I have doubts about how it would turn differently for APL. Hence, the ambitions being all stated "at the same time" (or in a quite short period of time) seems a bit far fetched. Especially the "local ATM" require a large amount of money as wall as raising legal issues.

3/ The privacy settings of the coin, although pretty convenient, may be a major drawback. For States and other Institution, having a cryptocurrency which could enable global Privacy would be intolerable, first for KYC reasons, sovereignty, and also taxes collection. In my humble opinion, a crypto which would provide complete user anonimity can simply not be a "top coin". If States may not "ban" a specific crypto, they could however prevent its massive adoption or punish severely the Exchanges if that coin would be listed.

4/ Currently, the APL is still a rather "small" cap coin (not a judgement, but a fact) ; hence I wondered about the risk of a 51% attack. Growing too fast may increase this risks as the reward for potentials hackers would be huge.

5/ I quite struggled to find other reviews of that coin. I know that his argument may sound a bit "chicken and egg", but would a project achieve several breakthough, would it not get a lot of visibility or at least attention and be written a lot about. Currently, that hardly seems the case.

Not a bad job being objective on the project. I am glad that you followed up with the claims with the reply. I have been following the project from an objective standpoint, it is actually quite impressive. They have a lot of features and have been very transparent with the community. I absolutely do think they are a scam at this point.

Forget all the scam BS. The Apollo team has accomplished innovations that teams including Ethereum have failing at for a long time now, like Adaptive forging where blocks are only created when needed during transactions, significantly enabling the chain to scale and 1-2 second block time. Also a big innovation is the Apollo updater, with this the devs can make updates to the code through a simple transaction at the same time enabling backwards compatibility to older software versions and ensuring there are no accidental hard forks. Would we even have a bitcoin cash if this innovation was included into bitcoin? I dont think so. So even though Apollo is a fork of NXT, Apollo itself cannot be forked. that should be enough to give it value.

People are throwing around the term "scam" too loosely these days. Every project has been called a scam at one time or another. Apollo has a working product and not to mention has ATM locations in Australia already. I've also been in their telegram group and those accusations from that Reddit post are grossly exaggerated. Sure, I've seen them ban some people but it was mostly due to refusing to listen to multiple warnings from admins due to spreading FUD or price talk which is common practice for a lot of projects.

Reading a Reddit post, and reading someone exaggerated complaints and confabulation about other people getting kicked out a a telegram is "objective" ?!!! I guess your concept of 'objectivity' is from the University of Walmart? Your idea of looking into a project is reading FUD? Suggesting that creating 2 second blocks on demand is a scam when no one else has done that before, or is a 'red flag' makes no sense and is FUD directly out of your mouth and directly from your channel.

I've been keeping up with Apollo since they launched and that reddit article is clearly someone with a personal grudge with Steve. I can tell you that Steve McCullah is a genuine guy and has dedicated 100% of his time and effort into Apollo, which has taken away time from his family businesses. These accusations weigh on him tremendously, as he's dedicated so much to the project and he's always willing to answer any questions about these accusations. Always keep an open mind and DYOR and remember there are many out there with negative motives.
