  1. I am not gay, nor am I a homophobe — not at all. But I LOVE this man. He opened my eyes, and as corny as this may sound, my heart — he made Bitcoin 'lovable' too! He made it evident to those of us less technically inclined, that Bitcoin was something to believe in and to fight for. And as great as Bitcoin is, Andreas is just as great.

  2. <3 amazing as always, very touching and beautiful to see you get emotional, I have too.

I have a similar experience in terms of realizing the potential, as an isolated being on the internet from an early age I had been well-versed in the absolute insanity that was society (banking / Legal and other inefficient, artificially scarce and slow-to-progress parts of the system).. whilst recognizing why it had unfolded this way, but the infrastructure was simply outdated for our technology/understanding.

  3. Thanks Andreas, you are the best! I am a big fan of your work. Your books and videos are inspiring.
I highly recommend the course that you give at the University of Nicosia. I completed the MOOC 10 last year and it was very educational.
I also believe that education is the best way to contribute to the industry and that is why I have created a free course in Spanish "Fundamentos de Bitcoin y Blockchain" that you can check in my channel.
Muchos éxitos y saludos desde Londres.

  4. I feel sorry for all this early Bitcoin adopters preaching that BTC is Censorship resistance and the same time they are blocking you on tweeter by expressing different opinion!
By acquisition more power(followers) Human becomes a predator and Leader becomes Dictator.

  5. I understand his emotions completely. My life changed too when discovering BTC. BTC really can make this world better. Blockchain so much more than a currency. It's peace, justice, equality, etc. And the fact that Andreas is making it his life goal to teach about BTC, is really, really admirable … My respect for A. is huge! I'm buying his book(s) and will ask everyone to read them… That's my part of spreading BTC … Thanks Andreas!

  6. At 15:00 you talked about the chance to break cryptography in trillions and trillions of years. But isn't most of modern cryptography based on the fact that we just haven't found a way to solve the discrete logarithm? Crytopgraphy behind Bitcoin could be broken much quicker than trillion of years. Other than that I can totally relate to what you said about getting pulled into bitcoin and changing your employment situation. The completely same happened with me when I was discovering the Lightning Network at some point in time I could not stop anymore but doing it every day. Similar to you I also consider myself not to be the strongest programmer in comparison to the other core devs and that is also a reason why I am trying to educate people about the Lightning Network.

  7. Thank you Andreas for everything you've done for this community. You could be working for a Fortune 500 Company and have comfortable salary and stock options as a CTO. But you have chosen to take the red pill and follow your heart. You are one brave person for giving all that up, and hope I can do the same. Good luck in your future endeavors!

  8. Thank you for all of your hard work and Bitcoin/crypto efforts Andreas. ? Being emotional over code is awesome lol. Bitcoin ain’t no ordinary code. Emerging properties are also interesting.
    Cheers! ?????‍?
