Inspiration for this episode thanks to the recent interview with the chairman of the SEC.

  1. Nice rant. Why does SEC want no part of Crypto because of no control. If SEC were really concerned with scams they would put limits on credit card or loan usurious interest rates. SEC does not want decentralized currency of anykind that belongs to separate communities. SEC is a farce. Side note: I haven't seen anyone wandering around snake infested dirt trails in sandals, except for natives…lol…Reviewing all your videos casually..thanks Heidi.

  2. Thankyou! We need more people to rant on this subject. The SEC and CFTC get their "official" paychecks from us taxpayers (even though their much larger, "under-the-table" pay checks come from big banks) and we should fire these guys if they are unwilling to do their job and define cryptocurrencies. It is not a difficult task. I think they are just trying to figure out how to tax cryptos such that it would maximize benefit for the government.

  3. Exactly! They want to control something that is very powerful and claim it's to protect you. Just like we need them to tax us. Crypto was meant to separate us from the governments grasp. Now we're giving them control.
I enjoy your rant. Videos dont always need direction. I value your view

  4. "I was hoping you could make a clear statement [on securities]." – Interviewer, Bob
"Bob, I hope I just did" – arrogance of SEC Chairman.
No you didn't. You just gave a definition. THAT wasn't clarity!!!!
Heidi, your rant was exactly my thoughts also.

  5. The argueent for regualtion is that it allows for introduction of institutional investors and introduction into common day exchanges (custody). It would allow for an ETF. Also to prevent market manipulation

  6. The SEC scares the shit out of me! To become an "accredited" investor, you must be worth $250K!!!! A quarter of a million damn dollars!!! I'm an educator, and there is NO way I'd EVER be "accredited"!!!! It's SOOOOOOOO damn UNFAIR!!!!
