Let's say all asset classes drop by 50-60%; I reckon crypto could initially drop, but once people, currently outside/not invested, will then start to scramble for some safe haven assets so benefit gold, bitcoin and some of the top altcoins. But probably a blood bath for all the rubish altcoins.

I would push back a bit Nick, I use lightning quite often (st least once per week), it works great. New users can just on-board on lightning and use custodial wallets if they feel very unsure or lack tech savyness. The fees will only spike if lack of awareness of lightning remains a factor. This notion lightning is 3 years away is a joke, it is already here!
