Vitalik is a technology guy, he loves programming and creating softwares. It's not a surprise to me he would say that. In a sense he is right, as everyone in the world only see the stock and price side of Cryptocurrency and don't understand at all the technology behind Crypto, let alone know that there is a technology. I see it in everyone I talk to who isn't into Crypto. The questions I hear most is "How do you create value out of thin air?" or "What the hell is Cryptocurrency created for? Just to replace paper money?".
It's the reason why Sirin Labs is creating the Finney, so that people will use cryptocurrency in a daily way and see the application.
I think though that Price and technological awareness goes hand in hand. We need both to bring people in.
Mithril has a good chance of winning that vote because of its community giving the hype. Social Network lovers pretty much like the concept.
As for CZ, I agree that he is quite the character. Asians are usually financially smart because of their upbringing. Even though he moves around in luxurious places, he avoids the costs of having a home and such. Avoiding costs while still being able to enjoy himself with what he can pay for. He could avoid the pays as well but hey, some people still need to have some comfort with what they can have right?
I'm still undecided on which of XRP or Stellar is a better concept. Mostly because I can't fathom the benefits of one over the other, and people's speculation doesn't help much. I am impressed by Stellar's backings though.

buy xlm now. Wait for a release date on Xrapid to be rolled out or wait until the banks officially "use" it not some 10 test transaction bullshit. If XRP price rises then rebuy in. XRP is just too flaky to keep.

Xlm works best than xrp. However because xrp pays off exchanges with people's money (as they spend xrp people buy) they are in a lot of exchange and because people were lied about XRP it became the 3rd largest coin and it has had good liquidity so it makes it a good transferable tool. But I had problems with some exchanges and the tag that has to go with the address and problems with an exchange gatehub dot net and the xrp wallet has lots of discontinued xchanges and is slowly dying. So in fact xrp is speculation driven only. And it is like XLM but with a lot of misinformation, lies and speculation. Button line it does not deserve to be where it is. Enfiestes me that guy having 60+ of the coins and the manipulation of that coin and the mo es I lost with xrp but not because I bought at all time highs but because it was manipulated for months and months

Wirex isn't necessarily just a wallet. It's a debit card that let's you spend your xrp thats stored on it where debit card are used. You do a lot of wallet reviews, are there others that do that?

Investor adoption =/= user and merchant adoption. They may be connected but are not the same. It's part of why I'm so bullish for bitcoin cash… they are clearly focused on the freedom-loving merchants and consumers. Unlike bitcoin core, I can use it today for small and quick transactions and that is critical for widespread adoption.
