26. I’m kinda tired of hearing this already. We knew this was coming. You really think people will put up with this? It’s too late. They ban it? We do it anyway. Maybe first world institutions bow out, big deal. Maybe USDC dissolves. Wow, it was centralised anyway. DAI and so on will take its place. We use privacy coins more. We are forced to produce ACTUAL decentralization which will make the industry far stronger and far more legitimate.

    Every market becomes a black market. If they take this away, as far as I’m concerned, I’m never filing another tax return again or working within a legal infrastructure until we have at least a small amount of actual freedom over our money. And I’m not the only one. The people who don’t leave finance 1.0 will be swallowed up, and this move will likely introduce hyperbitcoinisation. I seriously doubt after all this that educated people will be paying tax anyway. I’m just gonna say it, it’s what we are all thinking. They have turned a generation of people who would otherwise be a law abiding, tax paying part of the system, against it.

    And to be honest, if it comes to it, I’m not against an actual revolution and I think there is an increasing chance we will see that in our lifetimes. Don’t believe me? Ask someone from lebanon or hong kong.

27. If stable coins like tether were banned, then people would need to dump tether to exit and the only option would be to "buy bitcoin" rather trade their tether for any other asset. This would drive the price of bitcoin up as no one would want to sell btc for tether as USDT become a hot potato. There are various exchanges with fiat trading pairs and all the volume and trading would migrate there. I'm all for free markets, coins for everyone! screw the banks Just my two satoshis 🙂
