Summary: Stablecoins are coins that are supposedly non-volatile and is backed by a real-world stable commodity/currency (gold, US dollars). They are useful for transferring your funds to a stable position in case there is an expected dump. Most common exchanges like Binance don't have fiat to crypto trading pairs so having a stable cryptocurrency to trade instantly gives you the speed needed for cutting losses.
Stable coins are going to be vastly important in the long term success of crypto

what do you mean by cash out. fiat but still in the exchange or fiat back into your bank account?fiat still in the xchange means your ready to trade again so it should create a taxable event right?
