I think its more like a credit mainly for their ecosystem, and to rebuild the trust.
Also, it will be interesting to watch for whether other big tech companies are going to follow suit.
Ps. I think FB will deal with the privacy and security issues cautiously given that their recent dev con keep stressing importance on it.

Facebook coin is encouraging adoption and awareness. This is not a bad thing for crypto and blockchain.

I think it is good thing to have coins from the whole spectrum of centralized <-> decentralised. Makes it much easier to explain the appeal of truly censorship resistant and decentralised coins once there are these corporate coins from companies that no one really trusts.

Well considering it’s now common knowledge (and admitted by the US government) that “facebook” is owned and operated by DARPA – CIA (along with google, youtube etc) then l don’t think it’s hard to guess what their purpose is, the same purpose as it’s ALWAYS been, total mass control and surveillance…SIMPLE ?

I used to play video games on facebook many years ago. They had their "facebook credits" which was the universal token for games and other features on facebook. That no longer exists though. I don't think a company will be successful in creating a token that's only useful on their platform. It has to be something that can maybe be recognized in other similar platforms where they all work together.
