Problem is that the central banks are private corporations which sell their private fiat currencies to nations (governments) with interest which is one form of their profit which they need to pay for the shareholders of the private central banks. It's against their business model to "print" their private fiat currencies without interest (non-profit) because then they'd go out of business and have the fury of their shareholders. Private central banking is just a big global business and absolutely nothing else.

Two questions:

1) Aren't the stock buybacks also a major factor boosting valuations? I thought individual investors are selling while companies keep the price of their stock up by buying it back.
2) Aren't governments interested in devaluing their currency instead of increasing its value? A lower currency provides a boost to exports because your products become cheaper abroad. I just read Currency Wars and that was the lesson I took from it.

Very good and fundamentally important video. I kind of knew that but it opened my eyes to all of this. So, basically, Central Banks manipulate (I mean, support) the Stock Market. I mostly stock trader. Ps. I agree with others that you should do more of this type of analysis

US is not interested in having strong dollar against regions that they import from (I guess China and EU), therefore strong dollar is not necessarily what they are looking for. At least it's not as simple as it sounded in the video.

Awesome stuff Nick. I am amazed by your wealth of knowledge. This is exactly what I was thinking and we will continue to see market moving upwards with dovish fed creating more bubbles and more social gaps. If news about fed deciding to stop lowering balance sheet this year, I am going to start taking some risk in equity market. I could also see emerging markets rising with DXY going down a bit.
