Phil, can't wait to attend your workshop in a few weeks. Have been watching your content for a year now and I just finished Rule#1 and Payback Time. 😀
I worked for a major financial institution where instead of the cleaning crew cleaning and picking up the garbage each day at each local bank office they started only doing it twice a day. It made sense when you think about it. Thousands of branches getting their cleaning service cut to less than half saved the company a lot of money, it also allowed the CEO of that company to go from $20 millions in salary to $24 the next year. At the same time for 4 years, I heard that no one in my position was getting any salary raises because the company needed to save money. That is one example that I have seen of what you are talking about regarding the difference in salary between employees and CEOs.
Agreed to invest in companies with matching values. It makes it easier to spend time reading their annual reports and doing research about the company. This is an important factor if you're doing your homework. Not as important for people who spend only 15min a week managing their ETF's.
