Is there no way to have Bitcoin's fees to scale by transaction amount? That could mean Bitcoin can be used for coffee or lambos. That is if the lightning network does not catch on like segwit.

You should check enigma for hodl experiment. It s like monero is for bitcoin but for eth. It will enable privacy in smart contract wich is obviously important for buisnesses and poeple. I think you should keep Verge and do your own research before saying "Some think it's a scam coin" – It's a real open source community project with one main developer. No hyped up ICO. Grass roots project at it's core. Updates still being pushed to github as I type this. Verge has taken the most FUD of any project I've seen and it seems now that in thing to do is to continue passing on more FUD about it. Privacy coins like Monero and Pivx have been shown to leak IP address. So before we start trashing things we know little about, why don't you reach out to the developer and see what he has planned for 2018? Everyone is jumping on the Cardano bandwagon and all they have at this point is a wallet. Verge is and has has been a working product since its creation.
