You really need to stop comparing Corvid19 to the flu -the death rate is ATLEAST 4-6 times higher for Corvid19 and it can be transmitted BEFORE you show obvious symptoms. Corvid19 is the name of this outbreak/disease, the name of the virus is SARS COV 2 -because it is most similar to SARS, not the Flu
Something else to note: It's looking like a minimum of around half of all people will get infected at some point; the maximums are around 70-80%. The quarantines and mass isolations are not to 'stop' the virus; it's only to slow it down so health systems and resources are not overwhelmed by massive surges -there are only so many beds, nurses, doctors and ventilators, and it will also mean more infections are further in time and closer to an effective treatment/vaccine. It's what they mean by "Flatten out the curve" -they want to stretch out the infections over a longer time so they can reduce the deaths, it's mitigation.
