Ep 73: My Trading Story & Personal Trading Evolution Over the Years

★ SUMMARY ★
In this video, what I’d like to do is share with you something a little bit different. It’s really about sharing my personal story.

The purpose or the reason behind sharing my story is a little bit different than why most people share their stories.

For me the point in sharing the story with you is really to share with you and show you that there’s multiple paths, multiple ways, multiple directions that you can get to, to get to trading, to get to your end goal, to get to the goal that you want to get to, there’s multiple levels to your life.

Follow your own path
And you don’t need to take the same approach that I’ve taken to get to where I’m at, to get to where you want to be, to get to your goals. Because I know that especially nowadays there’s a lot of these podcasting interviews or people that you start listening to, that say “hey this is the path I took”, and then you start wondering, “do I need to take the same path or approach? Do I need to take this and do that and do that to get to my destination?”

I want to break this myth down a little bit to share with you some of my journey and my struggles, so that way you can really just understand that you don’t have to take the same approach as everybody else.

In your life, just as in my life, there’s multiple levels to it. And all these things lead to you in a certain path or directions, they continue to move you forward, for some people forward I this way, and it moves them forward over here. For other people their vision of forward is this way, so it continues to move you in this direction.

Whatever you vision is, look at your life, there’s multiple levels and multiple stages to it, there’s multiple areas that eventually lead you in this path or direction.

The end result of course, if you want to get to a certain destination, if you want to get to this one point over here, the best approach is to do it in a straight line, this of course is ideal because the quickest distance between two points is a straight line.

However that isn’t always realistic. So we end up veering from one direction to the other, and so on and so forth.

Find your strengths
I’m going to share with you my story and maybe you get some insight about how it is that you can apply some of the experiences that you have, because the experiences that you have are not the experiences that I have, and you may have some really great strengths that you can use in your personal life to benefit you, whether that’s in trading, whether that’s in building a business. All these different things that you can use to propel you forward, whether you stick to trading or whether you don’t.

There’s multiple levels to your life that you can use to your benefit to propel you and move you forward, whether it’s this direction or this direction, and start looking at all those areas of your life and don’t get wrapped up into all those interviews and start thinking, “Oh, do I need to do this? Do I need to do that?” Look at the assets that you have available already, the skill sets, the experiences and start implementing things quickly.

Just do it
You’ll find that some of the things that I share through my journey here, real quickly, is that one of the reasons that allowed me to jump from one thing to the next thing to the next thing, was because I was implementing things very fast and very quick, it’s one of the reasons why I’ve written a handful of books, it’s one of the reasons why I’ve created a handful of video courses, because I just go out and just do it, go out and execute, that’s kind of my goal.

  1. thank you for sharing your personal history
I see where the filp video came from ?
7-10years its to long but you weren't a full time trader, You were a young student and designer but one important detail you're super smart
This video is an eye opener for a lot of us.
what is the book that help you the Most for TA.?
and what is the book that help you the most for Trading Psychology?
and of course your books are on my check list.
    thank you Sasha!!

  2. What is your opinion about all these trading teachers and programs that don't actually have any way to prove a track record of any trading success?

Can you see any way to verify someone's results?

    A tax return?

Even a brokerage statement could be forged I guess?

Even a tax return if somebody wanted to go far enough? Who can ever know?

  3. I'm glade I stumble on your videos now I can't stop watching. You give so many details that it's easy to understand everything your saying even though majority of them are quite long. After seeing how much more understanding I can and will learn makes this for me a more reachable goal. I'm just starting out and realized that there is so much to soak in and it will take some time. Thanks to your knowledge and almost perfect way of teaching makes it so much more interesting to me. I'm glade you made these videos and I'm stoked to see more I mean knowledge is power right. I just want to say I love the way you teach wish I could learn as much as possbile from you and it's great the way u keep makinging people learn to choose for them self and not just use a certain way because works for them. well I hope to see and learn as much as I can from you thanks for taking the time and really capturing a great way of learning the stock market well much do respect let's trade on!

  4. Hi Sasha,

What you are doing is great!

Keep going. I really enjoy your videos. However, could you number all your videos? So it is easy for me to find as I am a absolute beginner in stocks.
By the way what is your First video?
What number ? So it is easy to search as there are so many.

    Thank you.

  5. It is very nice that you posted a video like this, i appreciate it and can study your videos more confidently. Although I must say, the hardest thing to do on this video (questionable if it is necessary or not to achieve success) is getting a good personal mentor, but in the mean time i am still in the book/studying phase of my journey. Thanks again.

  6. Good story! You have similar story with mine. I am from Japan. I graduated as a Computer Science from University and now I have been working as a Software developer for about 15 years. I also teach Martial Arts for about 10 years and have a dojo which has grown so much. I just started the Option trading not long ago and lost quite a lot of money but I am not giving up! Thanks for sharing your story Sasha!

  7. very informative for newbie traders, personally i have had really great success in my trading, pretty amazing track record & i would say to everyone also following, do not attempt to follow some one else's trade style or system etc, because it most likely will not work !..

everyone has there own personality, psychology etc & so what works for 1 person, may not work for others.. instead create your own.. do as much research, get as much trade education as possible..

YouTube has more than enough info to get anyone on the path of success.. practice, practice, practice, until your fingers bleed..

    Happy Trading :^)
