It is nice that they are doing this but I won't trust them one bit.
They are going to use XRP as a bridge for cross-border payments
The real problem the banks have with money laundering is the competition, they don’t like it or want it. This most likely is way a way step in controlling it.
XRP THE STANDARD
I want to make it very clear; I do not trust, nor would I use a ECB stable coin. All I'm saying is two key things:
1. The ECB is an organization made up of many participants, don't get trapped in the over-simplified, black & white view that every single one of them is corrupt and doesn't want change. Some of these people aren't on the bankroll of commercial banks. My main criticism is that they'll likely create something of little added value (AKA: A centralized excel spreadsheet for transactions where they're the only authoritative figure)
2. Like Libra, I want a free market to flourish. Let them compete alongside USDC, TUSD, PAX, DAI, etc. Don't trust them like me? Don't use em' ??

So we have an even playing field … Why should the cartel have a monopoly on the monetary supply?
Open the market up and let them compete … if they can produce the best product that the public wants, then all is good !!

What's needed is many decentralized currencies with no centralized control … with free atomic swaps across all asset classes … no KYC !!
The ECB is a paid customer of ripple! Regardless if they create their own coin you still need a bridge currency to make it happen and it’s XRP. Connect the dots and don’t be blind because of your personal views. Ripple has been engaging with over 50 governments across the world since 2012. Don’t believe me, it’s still true…

You're wrong. Central Banks are well aware of how they've literally controlled humanity for the last century- and they're very well aware how they want to maintain that control.
