How to Trade a Stocks Earning Report!

★ SUMMARY ★
What are earnings?
Earnings occur when a company releases its quarterly news, such as its profit margins or profit targets, to the general public. This new buzz and excitement attracts new investors to come in because it shows how well the company is doing.

You can find earnings information on many different websites – they are public records.

Why are so many people attracted to playing during earnings?
If the company did very well, it could jump quite a bit due to the earnings news and you can make a few thousand dollars very quickly.

  1. Мужчины, вчера нашла стратегию как легко заработать. Сама по этой стратегии заработала и вывела уже 5200 руб. Очень крутая и рабочая схема!! Смотрите пока не удалили. Жми на хэштег и зарабатывай – #20dengi18

  2. To stay away from earning means you liquidate your portfolio each Quarter? then you re-enter the positions after earnings are announced?
How does the slippage and all the buying in/out commissions affect your overall performance?

  3. For those of you that have owned a stock say for example 1 month or 2 months. But you want to play the gap gap down game. Sell half your shares the day before earning date or in the morning of the earning date then you risk less when the earning date happens and you have protected some of your profits. If you don't like earning dates sell all your shares the morning of the earning date.

  4. Sorry BUT your math as waaaaaay off. First of all theres fees to trade which are nominal but do eat into profit yes? Secondly, you said that 100 shares at a .30 cent move would get you three hundred dollars and IT DOES NOT……. it will get you $30 BUT AGAIN ITS A CRAP SHOOT, " you said,  IF THE STOCK IS ACTING RIGHT"… theres no way to know that till end of day…. I applaud your "thinking about stocks" but your dead wrong on this one. Personally you never want to buy at the top and that is what you would be doing. You also don't mention a time frame….every trading plan need and exit and entrance point.

  5. Don't give advises like this. Earning day beat down is very offen Even with positive earnings. It is what it is. You have to evaluate the stock and think about the risk and reward. If chase the price the very next day. You will blow up your account soon.

  6. Question, I'm trading twtr long position and trailed it with my stop-loss order at 63.32.  At the last trading hours it didn't touch my stop loss, so they didn't execute my stop order.  The stock continue to trade after hours and it slide down to almost 8 points down passed my stop-loss but my brokerage house didn't execute my order because it's passed the time (trading hours).  They told me that they will execute it the first thing tomorrow.  How come they did ot execute it during the after hours trading?  What happen if the opening bell is traded lower, can I still get my shares out at 63.32?  Please advice, Thank you.
