Investing in Real Estate vs. The Stock Market

★ SUMMARY ★
I have found that people who are really ingrained into their own investment vehicle such as real estate or the stock market really try to push their opinions onto people but that is not what I want to do. Personally I prefer business investing or the stock market which is technically investing in businesses.

You however can choose to invest in real estate which is what a lot of real estate people will push you to do or you can choose a different investment vehicle. What I want to recommend to you is that you need to choose a vehicle that works for you.

How do you choose?
Your choice should be based on which one you can stick with for the rest of your life and that you enjoy. That can be things like gold or rare and precious metals or things like antique dolls or cars, stamps, commodities, all types of different things, but you should choose one that works for you and that you can stick with for the long haul. It does not matter which you choose but you should take the time to learn it inside and out.

A lot of people that I have talked to who have had conversations with real estate gurus will tell me real estate is better, and then you can talk to some stock traders and they will say the stock market is better. Each do have their own advantages and disadvantages and of course the stock market has not been around as long as real estate or property investing.

  1. Hi,
I love your videos. they are all educational and easy to understand 🙂 . The Gov REIT is cheap now, what do you think about it? I am a beginner so I am not sure if I should buy it now since it about to go thru a merger … thanks and hope to hear back from you.

  2. I have been buying stocks for 25 years,  My money will last more than 100 years if I do not gain one penny in dividends anymore.   I invest only in companies that will be here in the next 500 years.  All my assets are in KO, JNJ, MCD, PG and PM.   I am lucky because my dividends is growing more, more and more.   I follow Mr. Buffett for 25 years, he is my master.  I never heard this Kid (Sasha) ever.  I am glad that we have kid like him.  Keep teaching the people, you are doing a good job.   Just  a recommendation for all.  Read the book " The richest man in Babylon".  If you do what is in the book for 25-30 years you will be very rich.
Why stocks:  if you had invested $80 dollars in Coke stock in 1919, you would have today between $5million to $8million dollars on a conservative figures.  There is no any house in the world that would have this value.  I am an engineer, company owner and mathematician.  The numbers never lies.

  3. Real Estate has certain tax advantages but is a lot of work. Don`t you think real estate is for young people because you need time to pay down the mortgage and time for the property to appreciate ?? What is your opinion ???

  4. Funny, I have been pondering the idea of weather to invest my money for the next 25 yrs in stocks or real estate… I'm currently long-term holidaying in Thailand and when you mentioned the country's name I was sold on what my decision will be. I would hate to miss out on my yearly trips because I couldn't find a renter, or had to fix a roof or what not. Don't get me wrong if I was married with kids and a fulltime job in one city I would definetly rock the real estate strategy. Thanks for the video.
