ok somebody enlighten me here. If the cryptoruble will never be minable and will always be exactly the same value as the original ruble, does that not mean that its just the same thing as the ruble? A centralized fiat currency?
The only difference I can get from this is that instead of a central bank the russian government is directly in control of it.

study again about Stellar Lumens, you don't even understand what Stellar Lumens does for. It's better than other unrealistic and dreamy Tokens; They actually help people who are underprivileged. Stellar Lumens is not the coin for greedy people or people who dream about Moon. I don't care the price goes up but I'd rather like it to be stable and not-inflated. I liked the coin when it was 1 cent and there is nothing wrong with that. If you make tons of money with other big inflated coins, that's good for you. But please do not think all cryptocurrencies should be the same. There should be coins which can be as stable as it can be. Don't worry. I'm from Russia. And I can tell you – we newer-ever belived our governiment. Not to Tsar, not to Politburo, and not to current liberast pro-USA governiment. Yes, you think (brainwashed by your media) that Putin is a anti-american. But there are two issues with it.
1) Putin is not allmigty. He desperately balances between two forces – liberasts ("liberasts" is for proUSA who quasi liberals who actualy are not, just calling themselfs so) risen under Eltsin and siloviki ("siloviki" is conservative patriotic oligarchic thiefs who whant to dump USA-control over Russia to rob us not for USA profit but for a self profit).
2) Currently most of Russian governinent, especialy economics block, is the same people who were there under Eltsin (who is totaly a (Bill) Clinton's man) – liberasts. So, even if we have some geopolitical bravado on surface (by military siloviki), economicaly we are still under USA control. And USA anti-russian propaganda is just smoke and mirrors used in USA politics to get an "enemy" who can be blamed for everything.
As of cryptoruble…. it's dead on arrival. So, don't worry.

If Russia says you can only use the cryptoruble then the cryptoruble will become worthless. Why would you want it no other country would accept it and you can't transfer it to other crypto because of the law.
I think this is more of a tracking method to tax gains and to stop money laundering or at least try to stop it
