Today I have an options training video lesson for you, where I’m going to show you how to buy a bullish and bearish vertical spread for Apple.

First, we will analyze Apple’s stock chart and try to predict the movement of the stock, and then I will show you exactly how to construct a vertical spread based on your chart analysis, whether you think the stock is going to move up or down.

  1. Sasha, thanks for your videos they help a lot! One question, if both of my strikes are ITM how should I deal with it at expiration date? Should I close both positions or should I let expire? If I let expire will they offset each other on the assignment? Thanks

  2. Sasha privet. All ur videos are really great. It helps me a lot. I know its all about demand and supply. But all these bunch of indicators doesn’t really show wheres demand and wheres supply. So heres my question: is there any indicator which shows how many shares still in hand? Like long term investors holding it. I need to know numbers. I can say how many shares been traded in particular day but i dont know how many shares still not been traded and still in hand or possession. I couldn’t find that kinda indicator. Or may be its a inside information ? or we have to calculate it ourselves. What do u think about it? I wanna know ur opinion i hope u really understand what im talking about. Cheers

  3. This is kind of funny because I started learning Options and was learning verticals this week and played around with values using AAPL too. I wanted to just enter AAPL on Monday on a regular bull position buying shares because I saw a bounce was likely over the weekend, but the volatility was too high for me. Can't wait to try out the strategy after some more practice and experience.

  4. Thank you for sharing this strategy. It seem to be about twice as capital efficient as an ATM Call! Two questions:1. How to hedge for a couple of days? 30 day OTM 10% to 20% of BPR puts?2. How do you add/when to add to the position? (A second half)
Since every move is dying, I find it very difficult to know when to add to the position. And the high thesta cost also makes it hard to hold/hedge. But it is now by far one of my favorite ways to play swings. Very much appriciated!
