  1. Shocked? No im not. When are people out there going to wake up to what is going on. I'm not fan of Trump but there is a movement to ban the President of the United States on Twitter. Let that sink in. YouTube has been censoring anyone that doesn't go with the mainstream narrative. They want to control what you say, think and now watch. Totalitarian principles are being embraced mostly by left leaning "liberals" folks and some on the "right".

  10. YouTube is going after free speech, this started this year when they went after Alex Jones and other conservatives that they don't agree with, it's much larger than the crypto community, it's been going on all year

  11. I think that just maybe, the whales are in this. Imagine if we get blocked by utube and this goes viral the price of bitcoin may fall.
    Later whales buy in and announce the lifting of the ban.

  12. I have been toying with the idea of cutting the cord and paying for a subscription to YouTube. Censorship has held me back, and the attack on crypto enthusiasts is the last straw in my decision. No YouTube subscription for me.

  17. Dude… Google is not “taking up arms” or “going after crypto”… that’s hyperbole and pure speculation… but makes for good copy, so I get the hype-speak. From a factual perspective, all that has happened is strikes were issued and videos have been removed… no one knows exactly why this has happened and given the number of channels affected and not affected, it seems arbitrary as to who is and who isn’t affected. But, a common thread will emerge soon, and I bet that YouTube will also soon make a statement.

    Who knows, maybe YouTube isn’t directly responsible. But, I understand why many are freaking out. For some, this is how they make a living (i.e., Crypto channels monetize their viewers, (i) directly by soliciting them to use affiliate links and also where their hosts make public paid speaking appearnaces, and/or (ii) indirectly, by allowing YouTube to distribute advertisements to them). For others, this is also a big part of personal identity (i.e., 15 minutes of fame in the crypto-verse).

    Ultimately, the next couple of weeks to a month will be interesting as information comes out. I am curious to learn more details and hope that no one is seriously harmed by this interruption to their service.

  23. Time to move on to a new Decentralized Platform. You know that Bitcoin is a technological revolution. War between Centralized world VS Decentralized world. DYOR, who owns Google and who controls it. Once you get the answer you will know why they are against Bitcoin and anything decentralized.

  24. Size is irrelevant in this attack. Over the last few days, my tiny channel got a warning and strike for two totally innocuous videos about crypto as it impacts the work and market of marketing professionals, and vice versa. totally niche. got censored all the same. this does not seem like something youtube would do on purpose. this is either a youtube mistake or more likely some people attacking crypto related videos and channels. Happy holidays, indeed! 🙂
