Stock Trading Advice for Teenagers

★ SUMMARY ★
I get this question all the time, “I’m 16 years old and I want to get into the stock market. I want to trade stocks, but I don’t know where to start…”

If you’re a teenager looking to get into the stock market, there are likely two reasons behind your interest.

Make a Living Trading Stocks
You might be interested in making a living from trading stocks full-time.

What does full-time mean? Do you want to trade for 2-3 months out of the year or do you want to be more active in the market?

With either scenario, you need to understand what’s happening in the market and study the material. You can take your money and invest in the market right away, but your best bet is to use your money and invest in your education (especially if you’re 16-18 years old)…

I don’t mean education in terms of high school, college, or a degree. I mean investing time and money into learning the stock market. Buy the books, buy the videos, and attend seminars and workshops on the stock market.

  1. I’m 15 I want to start investing but I don’t want to invest in my education. I’ve heard people start trading in the stock markets when they were a teenager.

  2. every video always says invest in yourself and invest in your education but it's so cliche. People watch these videos to learn how to invest in stock, not to be click baited. These investors don't know that if it's online, its free. If there is a popular book, there is a pdf, etc etc. Personally, I think teens should start investing now and learn by experience.

  3. Robinhood is a great platform to start of with investing in the stock market tho because I live in Europe there arent many great platforms available here are there any that you know of that I may research deeper into??

  4. I'm fourteen and lately stocks have really interested me. I'm thinking that once I get a job, I'm going to ask m parents to set up a Custodial Roth IRA and I'm thinking to start up, I'll go into robinhood. I really don't know too much but I'm starting to learn. However I'm really confused about one thing: Is it possible to take the money I make from exchanging stocks and just put it into a bank account so I can use it after I turn 18. Please reply if you can help. Thank you ^_^

  6. I'm 17 with about $3000-$6000 extra that I can invest. That life cycle thing fund you were talking about at the beginning sounds really good — I just dump some money in now and I don't have to worry about it until I'm old. Could you please share some more information on how that works and a link to where I could buy one of those or maybe recommend a different plan?

  7. I am a 13 year old boy, I am very interested in business, success, stock market, and entrepreneurship. I want a way to be able to be successful, start in the market, but my problem is I don't know a thing about how to use the stock market. I don't know a single website to invest. I am in 8th grade. If you could respond can you please answer this question. Where do I go to websites or just wherever I need to go to trade and invest in the market, and how much money do I need to be able to start out
