The Best College Degree for Stock Traders or Market Success?
★ SUMMARY ★
In this video, we are going to take a look at what are some common college degrees that you can get, that are somewhat related to investing or trading.
You may get a finance degree, an economics degree, business administration degree, computer science or, one of my favorites, statistics.
However, before going to college to pursue any of these career paths, you need to ask yourself a very simple, yet extremely important question: What do you want to do in the future? Because there are a lot of areas that you could get into when it comes to trading and investing.
For example, if you want to work for a company and analyze reports, then maybe a finance degree would be beneficial for you. Or if you want to manage a financial business and ask other investors to invest with you, in that case, a business administration degree might be the best option.
In other words, you have to look at what is it that you want to do within trading or investing, and then get the degree that’s helpful or necessary for that.
However, if you just want to make some money on the side, or make some additional income for your retirement, then having a college degree is not absolutely necessary. You can learn how to trade and invest very well and make money, without having any particular college degree.

Great video! I’ve been wanting to get in the stock market for quite some time and now at least I have an idea on what to work on. ✌?
not helpful at all
I want to learn to trade options, I picked up on day trading pretty quick but options are tough, what is the best way to learn options? Also would just an associate degree in finance help pay for itself helping with real life money problems?
I wonder if a computer engineer could do will because of computer science and computer engineering have overlapping skills and characters.
Hard to trust a man whose name is Sasha
Is there a major in university where i learn to analyse charts? Technical analysis?
I subscribed and have been watching a lot of your videos. I haven`t seen any concerning taxes. If you trade in a regular cash account, how are your profits taxed ? Swing trades , day trades , what are the tax implications ??
I am pursuing Engineering in Computer science as my UG. I wanna work in investment banks, hedge funds, etc. Which degree should i take as my PG in order to do that?
Market is the best tutor… No need to waste money on degrees, on college your are paying for them force you to read books and memorize stuff to pass tests, you can do it for free, just download or buy the books, open a demo account and start practicing… Online there's tons of stuff for free, more than you will ever need.
Is ACCA and CFA good in this regard?
Great video, lots of advice. Wasn't keen on the reverb from the mic.
I have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and currently doing a MBA with specialization in Finance. The MBA is pretty good but I have learned more trading and doing research than studying in college. Theory will never be as good as experience, but it helps.
Would getting a marketing degree online be just as helpful? Associates? Bachelors?
Thank You for making this. You helped me solve my long headache.
