  1. You only care about your privacy when you need it. Ie big brother is watching you . Reds under the bed. Or minority report. I really think it is worth digging deeper to understand this topic

  2. privacy coin users other than criminals, quiet a few my friend……bribe friendly govt/police officials…..political donations….betting….arms dealers…off grid businesses aka black market…..privacy coins will always find some use

  3. Interesting to see you don't feel much towards privacy or think that you need to do shady stuff to not want everyone to know how much money you hold. If I pay food or some service with BTC and have to go through a hassle to make sure the receiving end can't look into my ledger quantities or automate google searches for all addresses I spent something on, then surely privacy is preferable. Or, like now, where I may put out an address for people to tip me, or when I enter an address for an ICO, or a reward for a competition. Would be interested on your perspective on that.

  4. Transparency and privacy:

The important think to note that everyone forgets about DASH and its privacy, that is is a choice, It the choice to remain transparent AKA trust-less. Keeping the trust-less nature of the block-chain is paramount,

The core foundation that bitcoin has been built on(do with segwit, it being tampered with). Dash and it's masternode owners will simply not chose to give that up. If there will be a tech that is able to provide both, but only as long as it compatible with DASH it network, it will be built in, and if they can't they will simply hire someone how can, even if that person would ask a million dollar to build it in.

I do not mean to sound like a troll but most most people do not understand this, but nothing is for free, for starters Zcash uses something called a trusted setup, Monero's blockchain is multiple times bigger than bitcoin i believe it is 26xtimes and with the new version is going to be even bigger, do will give better privacy in return.

But more importantly than that, the blockchain losses it transparency, aka trust-less nature. This means you now have to trust the code, and seeing most of us can read the code let alone have the time to study all the lines of code, it basically means you have to trust the Developers, peer reviews and white hat hackers.

But if such a bug is not discovered, it could mean that there are people out there printing those coins out of thin air. Such a bug is not a theory, Monero for example found such a bug before it could become a problem: https://getmonero.org/2017/05/17/disclosure-of-a-major-bug-in-cryptonote-based-currencies.html

Furthermore, most tech's rely on cryptography that, that theoretically retro actively could be undone with the age of Quantum computers, and seeing blockchain keep a track of history all the way back, it could spell disaster for those counting it that it will never be broken, something that the very basic coinjoin, and private sent (of dash) do not suffer from. Basically it’s a trade of, do you care, that if you pay someone, that he can see from which addresses you paid it from ? Seeing each address only contains a small portion of your total coin supply, depending on how many public key's you split your coins over (it’s a build in feature, you don't have to think about anything, you can easily split it over 100's of addresses if you choose to.)

  5. i´m surprised that not many people talk about zenCash, a platform with chat, texts, money transfers, etc all powered by master nodes. It can even work if it´s banned at some points in certain countries.. can´t wait for it to enter beta stage
