What’s a Good Computer Setup if You are Getting Started in Trading?

★ SUMMARY ★
Desktop vs. laptop
If you’re looking to compare a desktop versus a laptop, typically I prefer a desktop, as it is faster, cheaper and if you have a problem with it, it is easier to fix, basically anybody can fix it in the world, as far as if you go to best buy or a tech store, it’s a lot easier to fix.

Not to mention all the components that are used, they are a little bit larger, but that means they are typically a little more advanced, so it’s a little bit faster, and that also makes the parts cheaper, because you don’t have to condense all that power into a small laptop. So that’s what makes laptops a little more expensive.

  1. look for a refurb pro name brand workstation with xeon quad core processor (dell, hp, lenovo etc). Spend under 200 bx, you may even find a cheap 1080p monitor included.

  2. I built my own computer about 3 years ago its so easy and a lot cheaper it cost me a out £600 and at the time the same sort of spec for a ready made on was about £1500.

  3. I started trading using thinkorswim on a Dell tablet, I am going to upgrade and was thinking about a Mac, software compatibility make sense. Thanks, Thanks for your videos also, it has been helpful.

  4. very good timing. I am seting up a daytrading/home office myself. Hey Sasha, when starting your very first setup, are the multiple monitors necessary? or could you get buy with one very large monitor, and then add them later when you have more experience?….and more funds $$
