Tron (TRX) bought BitTorrent last year for $126 million.
They now did an ICO to sell 6% of the BTT tokens to the public for $7.2 million.
20% of the total supply will be airdropped to Tron holders and BitTorrent users in the next 6 years.

It seems that maybe you haven't read into the BTT white paper!? The utility of the BTT token is that by this summer they expect users of BitTorrent to be able to use this token to:
1. Pay a small amount in BTT for faster downloads
2. Recieve a small amount in BTT for seeding
Thereby making it the biggest Dapp in crypto history in terms of utility and user base (100 million). Its succes however depend on wether the BitTorrent users will embrace this option or not (they can also chose not to and still use BitTorrent like they're used to). Time will tell.
As to how they will handle so many transactions, it was already adressed by TRON super-representative Misha Lederman who, in response to Morris' claims, stated that much of the traffic will be handled “off-chain”—through a “high-performance private ledger”—as well as “on chain”—through TRON’s own decentralized protocol. This too can be read in TRON’s updated BitTorrent white paper

I think this idea of BTT is crap. So do tron investors put money into TRX or BTT? Both, neither? Either way, TRX loses money. Should've used TRX only. ICO was bs too. Pumped and went to big wallets only. Air drop lol idk, not liking tron now. I enjoyed the profits with TRX pumping over last month, but is essentially splitting investors a good idea??
